New feathered residents of Princess Antoinette Park: how Monaco takes care of animals

In Princess Antoinette Park in Monaco, there are six more feathered inhabitants now. Four ducks and two chickens moved here from the Zoo, which is closed for reconstruction. This step is part of the program to preserve biodiversity and create a comfortable environment for animals within the city limits. Now visitors can observe the new pets on the mini-farm territory.

🏛 Park with royal history: Monaco’s green oasis

Princess Antoinette Park is one of the oldest green corners of the principality, laid out in the 19th century. Named after the mother of Prince Rainier III, it combines Mediterranean vegetation with elements of landscape design.

  • Main attractions of the park:
    • Ancient olive trees
    • Rose garden with rare varieties
    • Mini-farm with domestic animals
    • Children’s playground

“It is important for us to maintain a balance between nature and the urban environment,” notes the park’s landscape architect Jean-Luc Moro.
