The Nuits Carrées Festival returns to Antibes at a new venue
From June 29 to 30, 2024, the annual Nuits Carrées music festival will take place in Antibes on the esplanade of Pré des Pêcheurs, which has become a cultural tradition of the French Riviera.
Festival history
The Nuits Carrées festival was founded in 2007 and quickly gained popularity as one of the key musical events in the region. Until 2019, the event took place at the foot of the historic Fort Carré, combining performances from both well-known artists and new talents.
Move to a new venue
Since 2021, the festival has been based at the esplanade of Pré des Pêcheurs in the city centre. This location offers convenient infrastructure and attracts even more spectators. “Moving to a new venue has opened up new opportunities for us and allowed us to expand our audience,” notes festival director Marielle Dubois.
Programme and features
The festival traditionally takes place on the last weekend of June and marks the beginning of the summer season on the French Riviera. The programme includes a variety of musical genres, from pop to electronic music. Organisers emphasise the accessibility of tickets so that as many people as possible can attend the event.
Perspectives
Every year, Nuits Carrées strengthens its position as a cultural event of international standing. In 2026, performances by well-known artists and special projects are expected, highlighting the unique atmosphere of Antibes and its historical heritage.
