The closure of Monsieur Pablo beach in Golf-Juan due to debts of 126,825 euros
The municipality of Vallauris terminated the contract with the private beach Monsieur Pablo on Midi Beach in Golf-Juan on July 17, 2026, due to debts of 126,825 euros and violations of the territory maintenance conditions.
Beach closure
Monsieur Pablo beach, which had been operating on the Golf-Juan coast since 2019, will cease operations prematurely. The decision to terminate the contract was unanimously made by the Vallauris city council due to accumulated debts and inadequate care of the territory.
Accumulated debts
The amount of debt to the municipality amounted to 126,825 euros for the period from 2024. Despite provided extensions, the beach owner did not repay the debts. “After several warnings and rejected tax payments, the situation was not rectified,” explained the administration.
Violations of conditions
In addition to financial problems, violations regarding the maintenance of the beach were identified: inadequate care and cleaning of the territory. “Municipal services had to intervene on several occasions,” authorities noted.
Consequences
The beach owner has filed for bankruptcy. This is the second private beach closed in Golf-Juan after Bocado Beach, reducing the number of paid leisure areas from five to three.
