Théoule-sur-Mer: coastal clean-up and Estérel festival

Today, 26 September, Théoule-sur-Mer is cleaning its coastline: at 10:00 by the park at the Pointe de l’Aiguille the litter pick «Nettoyons la nature» will start. And in a week, on 3 October, the Grand Site de l’Estérel festival will take place in port Figueirette — with trips on traditional boats, Provençal water tournaments and a dinner with soupe au pistou.

Meeting point — 10:00 in the car park of Pointe de l’Aiguille park by road RD6098 (Corniche d’Or). Organiser — the association Méditerranée 2000. Gloves, bags and equipment are provided on site, and participants will be offered friendly refreshments afterwards. Estérel festival on 3 October

On Saturday 3 October, from 09:00 to 17:00 port Figueirette (7, avenue du Trayas) becomes the venue for the Grand Site de l’Estérel festival. Free entry. The programme includes:

  • stands and an introduction to the massif’s natural environment;
  • sea trips on pointu boats — traditional Provençal wooden boats;
  • Provençal water tournaments and rowing with traditional oars;
  • «swimming like a mermaid» and aquabikes at sea;
  • climbing wall, a walk with a naturalist, hikes and electric bike outings.

At 19:30 — a paid dinner with soupe au pistou, followed by a DJ party. Dinner places are by prior booking only at the tourist office: 04 93 49 28 28.

How to get there

A free shuttle will run for the festival: it will link the centre of Théoule, the railway station and port Figueirette. Those wishing to stay longer in the Estérel will find our Mandelieu gravel routes useful. The festival programme is in the Sortir06 listings.
